The Trolley Stoppers, four guys who are passionate about singing a cappella! We do a little barbershop, a little doo-wop, some music from recent years and some from several hundred years ago. The Beatles, Billy Joel, Tears for Fears and even madrigals are all in our repertoire. We'll try anything, as long as it has a good tune, appealing harmonies, interesting lyrics—and we enjoy singing it. We have sung at numerous retirement communities, local events, and coffee houses, such as Hobbs Coffee in Swarthmore, PA, Bryn Mawr Coffee, Seven Stones in Media, PA, and Calliope Music Store in Ardmore, PA.
The Trolley Stoppers were formed in 2008. We loved singing together from the start; and before long, we found that our four voices were coalescing into a rich a cappella blend.
The Trolley Stoppers are named in honor of the trolley that runs down the middle of our town, Media, Pennsylvania.
